Research Experience

Quorum-sensing interaction networks

KU Leuven and Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences

Classified quorum-sensing functions from metagenome-assembled genomes using a KEGG-based reference of 41 pathways and 18 signal molecule types, then developed a sender–receiver model for directional microbial communication networks.

Metabolic complementarity and co-occurrence

Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Integrated genome-scale metabolic complementarity with random-matrix-theory co-occurrence networks to study microbial interactions across a hot-spring temperature gradient. The work led to first-author papers in Nature Communications and iMeta.

Metagenomic workflow and platform development

Integrated Network Analysis Pipeline and Galaxy platform

Contributed to iNAP and developed practical experience in quality control, assembly, mapping, and genome binning for shotgun and Nanopore metagenomic data.

Bohai Sea interdomain ecological networks

Changxing Island monitoring area, Bohai Sea

Combined amplicon analysis, interdomain ecological networks, centrality measures, and beta-diversity analysis to compare microbial communities and inferred interactions in sediment and seawater.
